Many playwrights and also the Western theater styles of staging have had significant influence on the world of modern Indonesian theater. The Forum for Adapted Plays offers a series on the process of the interpretation of western plays by a number of Indonesian theater groups, especially when everything is adapted to the resources, financial and non-financial, of the theater group, along with the socio-political situation, to the discourse on ideas which have become a trend in society.
The Board of Curators has selected five foreign scripts which have not only been successfully performed on Indonesian theater stages, but the theater ideas from the works of these playwrights from abroad have had a significant influence in Indonesia and around the world
