Space Age: The Phantom Power is an interdisciplinary performance that places music, visual art, and science on one stage. It invites the audience into a metaphor of outer space. Direct video projection creates a three-dimensional setting for eight musical compositions titled after astronomical terms.

Ng Chor Guan found inspiration from Gustav Holst's The Planets Op. 32, and Galileo's invention of the telescope that has transformed our understanding of the universe. The composer uses the violin (string instrument), flute (woodwind), french horn (brass), piano (percussion), theremin, and computer (electronic instruments) to create an elaborate and complex sound. It was previously performed at Asia Theatre for Young Audience Festival, Japan.
