Azisa Noor

Received her formal education in architecture from Bandung Institute of Technology. Last year, she was involved inMystery of Batavia project (2010), hosted by the British Council, Jakarta.s Lopian Studio, and Makko Online Comic. Since 2006, Azisa has been involved in various exhibitions, including Fumetto in Luzerne, Switzerland, 2005; Komik Indonesia Satu Dekade (KONDE, A Decade of Indonesian Comics), Ancol, Jakarta, 2006; and Bandung Indie Comic Now!,Bandung, 2010. Her comic works have also been published in various medias. Her creation, Legenda was regularly published in Sequen magazine (2006). In addition, Mentari & Bintang (Sun and Star) was published by Insan Madani, Yogyakarta (2008), and Satu Atap 2 (One Roof 2) was published by Koloni M&C Gramedia (2010). She has collaborated with Gabor Kissgz, the Hungarian comic artist to create Turn of the Screw, part of Lingua Comica: the 2nd Comic Projecthosted by ASEF London, England (2007). Awards and accolades for her works have come in various forms. Her work,Heimat, was nominated as best comic at the Fumetto Comix Competition, Comic Festival, in Luzerne, Switzerland (2005); Bendera received first place in National Historical Comic Competition held by the Indonesian Department of Education (2007), and The Girl Who Talks to Buildings won the animation scriptwriting contest in Anime Me! Singapore 2010.
