Since graduating from Dongguk University in Seoul for B.F.A in Sculpture degree in 2004, Lee Wan has continued to produce works that examine the relationships between social systems and individuals. Since his first solo exhibition entitled Riding Art in Gallery Ssamzie Seoul (2005), he has held numerous solo exhibitions exclusively in Korea, some of which includes “Us and Them” at Project Space Sarubia Dabang (2014), "Oh, Pure Love" at Daegu Art Museum (2013), and “Forlorn Standard” at Artspace Hue (2010), “Life is just like an echo that the sonorous bloody waves” at Total Museum (2009). He also participated the residency programs in various cities and countries, including Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and US. Some of his selected group exhibitions are “International CES 2010” Hilton Hotel Convention Center, Las Vegas, 30th Anniversary of the Young Korean Artists at National Museum of Contemporary Art (2010), “art on farm” at Jim Thompson art center, Bangkok (2013), “Twilight-The prospects of Asian Industry, Korea, Japan, Taiwan” at Howl Space, Taiwan (2013). He is the 1st place winnder of Artspectrum Award held recently.
