Yogyakarta plays an important role in the history of modern art in Indonesia. The city is the birthplace of many of Indonesia’s greatest artists, where they also lived and worked. The city is also host to many art events and moments, from limited shows to international-scale exhibitions. To traverse the streets of Yogyakarta is to become acquainted with the diversity of forms and ideas of art and artworks. Artworks are shown at campuses, galleries, museums, and public spaces.
Yogyakarta Art Tour provides the opportunity to experience the art dynamics of this special region. The tour will take participants to visit the art studios of Entang Wiharso, Ichwan Noor and Nasirun, to look at the latest works at ArtJog 2017, and to explore the Ullen Sentalu Museum. We will also visit Mount Merapi, stay at Prawirotaman, and do other interesting activities during the three days and two nights there.
Prices above include return flight tickets, accommodation, and meals (three main courses and one snack per day), shared local transport, access to ArtJog 2017, access to artist's studios, and museum tour.

Arrive in Yogyakarta. We will visit Entang Wiharso's studio, and attend ArtJog 2017, followed by dinner at Nanamia Pizzeria.

We will visit Merapi tourist spot and photo exhibition, as well as Ullen Sentalu Museum, Ichwan Noor's artist studio, Jogja Annual Art 2 exhibition at Sangkring Art Space with Putu Sutawijaya.

We will visit Nasirun's artist studio, then stop for coffee at Vredeburg Fort before returning to Jakarta.
